Family Day at MacGregor

The park hosted a beautiful event this year with extraordinary public engagement. 

Over 260 day use passes were sold yesterday, even with a system malfunction early in the day. Maya had close to $500 in cash sales for her photoshoot fundraiser, nature art was everywhere in the green space, skating surfaces were filled all day, happy families were eating smores, hot dogs and hot chocolate were available. Many visitors learned birding techniques through both suet feeders and the hike! Over 100 people went stargazing with Bluewater Astronomy and Layna - the sky was clear for perfect viewing!

Visitors were in great spirits and kept remarking how much there was to do for the weekend. Kathy, Sue and Kathryn enjoyed speaking with the visitors while serving food and refreshments. Thank you to all of the volunteers who supported our events or who led them. It was a truly special day, and we are celebrating the tremendous participation from our local communities.
